CSJ HOA Emergency Preparedness Speaker Series

As part of a series of Cape HOA Emergency Preparedness Sessions, we will kick off with an in-person presentation by Brendan Cowan, San Juan County Emergency Management Director. We are pleased that he is able to make time in his schedule to travel down to the Cape for this event. 

This outdoor session will be held at the Cape Firehall/Pool picnic area on Thursday, August 25th at 3:30 PM - ~ 4: 30 PM. 


Brendan will be speaking to us about the importance of emergency and disaster preparedness in the islands. He will provide an overview of the potential risks related to living on the remote end of remote island, in a remote corner of the state, and how each of us should become more attuned to these potential risks and prepare ourselves accordingly. 

He will share specific emergency preparedness information related to our Cape neighborhood, and more general info about the islands and Western Washington. 

Please bring questions, as there will be ample time for Q&A. There will be handouts provide as well.
